Get to know me.
Elisabeth Emmerich, MA, LPCC, RPT™
Finding the right counselor can be challenging these days, and you’re wondering if I may be a good fit for you. The therapeutic relationship is a key element in determining how effective therapy will be and how much change can occur over time. It’s important to get to know your therapist a little before deciding if the relationship is a good fit for you.
Since a young age, I’ve always had an empathetic ear and desire to help support others in any way I can. I have a special interest in working with children and teens and fully believe that providing them a safe space can foster growth and change. I also greatly enjoy working with moms who are striving for more balance in their life. Parenting can be challenging at various stages, and I love coming alongside to help support the family as a whole. As a parent, you want the best for your children, and you want to make sure their therapist connects with them and can support you too.
You are going to have moments in your life that are challenging and you can feel overwhelmed. Therapy can offer you an opportunity to find hope and make changes. I will strive to help you reach your goals by providing an emotionally safe space to process thoughts and feelings. When you enter my office, you will feel heard and validated. I hope you will find my relationship with you authentic and the therapeutic process rewarding.
As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), and Registered Play Therapist (RPT™), my areas of expertise include anxiety, trauma, depression, parenting concerns, relationship issues, behavioral concerns, perinatal mood disorders, family issues, and life transitions.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, taking lots of walks with my dog, and exploring new restaurants and shops in the Twin Cities.
